About Jacqui

Hello!  I’m Jacqui O’Shea, founder of Magic Lantern Memories.  

 

Thank you for visiting our website.  My goal is to help you experience the joy of celebrating and sharing your favorite stories and memories.

My career has been spent in business development and a sales leadership with companies like IBM and Salesforce.  I have always loved looking at old albums and pictures of my family and hearing the stories of relatives and friends; past and present. As a side project, I began to organize my family's photo and tape collection (the collage on the home page gives a glimpse into our collection spanning five generations of relatives).  I quickly became overwhelmed and realized I needed to do more research and get some help.
 

Motivated to preserve these memories, I began researching how to properly restore, digitize and begin sharing our collection digitally. Once I began learning about the technology, tools and suggested workflows that help make this work easier, I knew I wanted to pursue doing this professionally.  That's when I joined The Photo Managers organization and made the decision to launch Magic Lantern Memories.

Personally, my husband Brian and I enjoy road trips to Maine, Cape Ann, and the white mountains.  We love indoor and outdoor live music and will travel near and far (especially if The Dave Matthews Band is performing).  Pictured above are our two rescue cats, Roxy and Taz.  The picture below includes my three amazing stepdaughters, Brianna, Alexandra and Caroline at our wedding in York, Maine in August 2020.
